How often are the walks and when is the next one?
Walks have been fortnightly but we are trialling monthly walks from September 2023. They are always on a Saturday morning. Please email [email protected] with a message and phone number, and get a text with details of the next walk and how to join. There are details of how it works on the Joining a Walk page.
Where are your walks?
Every walk is different. We rotate approx. 30 different walks. Almost all the walks are within 10 miles of Norwich.
Can I come if I don't have a dog?
Yes! We welcome all walkers with or without dogs. There will be dogs running around off their leads so be prepared to get a muddy brushed leg and a bit of dog hair. If you want to approach the dogs for some fuss, be prepared to become part of the 'muddy jeans club'!
How far do you walk?
All walks are less than 4.5 miles, often around 3 miles and the pace is relaxed. We make sure no one is left behind. If you have any mobility issues, I can often find a shortcut so let me know before the walk via email at [email protected].
Can I bring children?
Yes, children are welcome. Please let them know not to approach any doggy without asking the owner first.
Can my dog be on the lead/Can my dog be off the lead?
Off lead: All walks are checked beforehand for suitability of having dogs off lead. I'll alert you to any times your dog will need to be on it's lead. All dogs are allowed off lead so long as they are not aggressive at any time. If they get a little stressed or defensive, I'll ask that you to put them on their lead for a while.
On lead: You are welcome to keep your dog on lead throughout the walk so long as the dog is comfortable with other dogs being around, off their lead.
Is my hyperactive/noisy/barking/anti social/(insert behaviour) dog welcome on the walk?
Dogs that bark, are overly playful, can be grumpy, can be anti social, jump up or any other potentially embarrassing but not harmful behaviours, are very welcome. There are plenty of playmates for hyperactive puppies but boundaries are often naturally respected for the quieter or less playful dogs. Once dogs are off leads, they read each other far better than we can. We only intervene if there's risk of harm. Overall, the dogs get on amazingly well and go home happy, tired and muddy!
